One cause of environmental problems is the lack of awareness about the issue.
Many people are simply not aware of the things that they are doing that are damaging the environment. They may not realize that their actions have consequences, or they may not understand the severity of the problem.
If people don’t know there is a problem, or don’t understand the full impacts of their actions, it’s hard to get them to change their behavior.
This is made worse by an inept media environment that promotes nonsense, exagerations and gossip and ignores the dire, complicated realities.
