We all want what’s best for our country, right? We want a government that is effective and works for the people. How did we end up with a kakistocracy – a government run by the worst, most corrupt people? It’s not something that just happened overnight. There are a few things that led to this nightmare of a situation. Let’s take a closer look.
What is a Kakistocracy and Why Should you Care?
A kakistocracy is a government run by the worst, most incompetent people.
Why should you care? Because we’re living in one!
Just look at the mess our country is in. It’s a disgrace. Every day, it seems like there’s some new story about corruption or incompetence. Our leaders are more concerned with being celebrities and lining their own pockets than they are with actually governing. As a result, our kakistocracy is spiraling out of control.

Kakistocracy is a word that perfectly describes our current state of affairs. In these days of 24-hour news cycles and social media saturation, it sometimes feels like we’re drowning in a sea of waste, distraction, and superficiality.
It’s no wonder everyone is so angry. Why we all feel so helpless.
We’re running out of time to make things right.
We need to get these cretins out of the government and replace them with reasonable, competent leaders. With some luck, we might be able to get the country back on track.
How Did Our Government Become a Kakistocracy?

To paraphrase Ernest Hemingway, we replaced accountable leaders with clowns in two ways, “Gradually and then suddenly.”
At one point in time, leaders wanted what was best for the country. Those days are long gone. Whether they are incompetent or just plain bad people, the fact is that our government is a joke.
It’s hard to say when it happened, but it seems like we’ve collectively lost our minds.
We allow ourselves to be distracted by nonsense while the real problems are ignored. People who are clearly unqualified are “making decisions” that affect us all. We’ve ushered in the era of Idiocracy and we’re just along for the ride.
We could be doing so much better. But as long as we keep electing non-serious people, we’ll never get anywhere.
What Can We Do to Fix This mess?
Are you concerned about the state of democracy in America?
Well, you’re not alone. In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about how our democracy is “broken” and how we need to “fix” it. But what exactly can we do to restore democracy in America?
Before we can do anything, it’s helpful to have a better understanding of where we are, how we got here, and a general idea of where we want to get there.

If we want a better government, we need more people involved in the political process in terms of solutions and progress. There’s no shortage of people who want to “pop off at the mouth,” and blame “the other side” for 100 percent of the problems. But very few are doing the work to better understand causes and effects. The reasons behind so many problems.
As an electorate, we’ve got to understand the big issues and the circumstances surrounding them.
As far as elected officials go, they should be held accountable. If they’re not doing their job, we need to vote them out of office. While the effects are dubious, it doesn’t hurt to contact your elected representative and let them know how you feel.
The media is supposed to play a role in this process, but the talking heads have clearly abandoned their duty as the Fourth Estate, entrusted to help keep the electorate informed. We need to reform the media and get them back to reporting on reality, not stoking division.
Finally, we need to be more reasonable when it comes to politics. Too often, we get caught up in partisan arguments and name-calling. We need to remember that we all want what’s best for America and that we can disagree without being disagreeable.
Taking The Country Back from Lunacy
American democracy is founded on the principle of government by the people, for the people. But our government has been hijacked by a small group of idiots who only look out for their interests. They aren’t necessarily “bad” people – they are probably just very dumb.
Why would anyone with half a brain want to get involved in politics right now?
These so-called “kakistocrats” have rigged the system to benefit themselves and their cronies, while ordinary Americans are left behind. Or at least they try to. In reality, they often fail at that.
Instead, their idiocy just increases the gridlock we see everywhere.
A kakistocracy is the worst possible form of government because it is run by the absolute worst people. Unfortunately, it seems like that’s where we are. Our current government has become a kakistocracy and we need to do something about it.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
We can take back our country if we’re willing to put in the effort.
We’ve got to hold the powerful to a higher standard. Yes, this means politicians. But it also means the media talking heads, business leaders, and anyone else that is making progress all but impossible.
We can fix this mess and restore democracy in America if we work together. Let’s take back our country from the kakistocrats!
Democracy is not a spectator sport – we all have a role to play in making sure that our society works for everyone.
