I hope this letter finds you well, but I must say that I’m a bit confused. You see, every time I hear you speak, I can’t help but think of Meghan Trainor’s hit song “Your Lips Are Moving.” I mean, I appreciate the effort you put into moving your lips, but I can’t help but wonder if anything that comes out of them is actually true.
You promised us the world during your campaign, and yet here we are, still waiting for any sign of progress. It’s almost like you’re more concerned with keeping your wealthy campaign donors happy than actually fulfilling your promises to the people who elected you.
Don’t get me wrong, I know politics can be a tough game. But it seems like every time a politician makes a promise, it’s only a matter of time before they break it. And in the end, it’s the everyday citizens who suffer the consequences.
So forgive me if I’m a bit skeptical of your intentions. I’ve seen this all before, and I know how the story ends. But who knows, maybe this time will be different. Maybe you’ll prove me wrong and actually follow through on your promises.
But until then, forgive me if I remain skeptical. After all, your lips are moving.
